1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The Bioneers Conference program includes great panels on saving water, local food production, alternative energy, environmental stewardship, and educating about climate change. Some highlights:
PERMACULTURE, SUSTAINABLE LAND DESIGN
Bill Wilson, Keynote Speaker
Bill’s 32 years of living in a sustainably oriented community has prepared him for a hands-on understanding how to create vibrant, sustainable and ecologically sound communities. He is co-founder, with his wife Rebecca, of Midwest Permaculture, offering trainings, talks and workshops. The purpose of Midwest Permaculture is to support the transition of our society from a culture of consumption… to a culture of… creation.
Lan Richart and Courtney Eccles will help us to better understand the need to share not just the science and facts when discussing environmental concerns, but also the need for ethics and justice to be included in our conversations and work.
“Bioneers” are social and scientific innovators developing solutions for a more sustainable world. Learn all about the national Bioneers, their work and their upcoming conference – October 15-17 at www.bioneers.org.
