People’s College of Transition Skills

Summer Skillshare

The People’s College of Transition Skills is an initiative of Transition Rogers Park.  It is a grass-roots, informal network of neighbor teaching neighbor. We meet in homes, backyards, parks, schools, or empty storefronts to share our skills with each other.

This summer, the People’s College is scheduling and facilitating a variety of skillshares and workshops in collaboration with the Mess Hall, 6932 N. Glenwood Avenue.  These events will take place on Sunday mornings from 10:00 AM until noon and run concurrently with the Rogers Park  Glenwood Sunday Market from June 26 through October 16.

Come learn with us!  Each session is designed to teach something new – or to revive once common skills – that will help us lower our ecological and carbon footprints, helping move us one step closer to sustainability.

Here’s a list of workshops that have been scheduled to date, but more are in the works!  If interested, please RSVP on the event listing, so we know to expect you.

Eco-Justice Collaborative is a founding partner of Transition Rogers Park, an initiative founded on the larger Transition Towns Movement.  Visit Transition Rogers Park’s website for more!
