Heidi Krahling, Member
Heidi is the grant specialist in the Center on Health, Aging, and Disability at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.  Prior to her current position, she was the research coordinator for 15 years in the Kinesmetric Lab in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health, UIUC.  Kinesmetrics develops and applies measurement theory, statistics, and mathematical analysis to the field of Kinesiology and extends to public health.

Heidi studied Civil Engineering, has an A.B. in American History (focus on working class and labor), a M.S. in Kinesiology (Sport Sociology), and Ph.D. coursework in Kinesiology (Cultural, Interpretive, and Science Studies) and Curriculum & Instruction (Aesthetics).

Heidi is an advocate of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics) with a past focus in model rocketry.  She has also been involved in the promotion of  active transportation.
