The truth about Carbon Capture and Storage
Rural residents in Central Illinois are facing threats from eight carbon capture and storage projects. This fact sheet has been prepared to help residents understand how these projects, funded by taxpayer dollars, can potentially affect their health and safety; their land and water; and their property rights. It also serves as a tool to speak with local officials who are considering adopting legislation to protect their communities or counties. The fact sheet was prepared in collaboration with the Coalition to Stop CO2 Pipelines, which is coordinated by EJC. It can be printed or shared by downloading it here.
