ADM's TWO leaks require a Congressional response
CO2 leaks create significant risks to drinking water and public safety. Recently discovered leaks at a CO2 Injection well in Decatur, Illinois as well as numerous leaks at Texas injection wells, raise serious concerns about the ability to safely store CO2 in underground storage wells.
Food and Water Watch is bringing together policy and technical experts, and community leaders to educate Members of Congress and their staff about cause of the leaks, safety, health concerns, environmental justice concerns, and broad policy implications.
Panelist Include:
- Maria Nunez Lopez, White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council
- Paige Powell, Commission Shift
- Pam Richart, Eco-Justice Collaborative
- Richard Kuprewicz, Accufacts Inc.
- Paul Blackburn, BOLD Alliance
Moderated by Jim Walsh, Food & Water Watch
